Founded in 1953, the Marquette University Sailing Team has been sailing on the lakes of the Midwest for 70 years. A community of dedicated individuals, Marquette Sailing continues to be a special space for students to learn the thousands-of-years-old tradition.

In an effort to showcase the heritage of our team, we launched a research project with the Marquette Raynor Memorial Libraries Special Collections and University Archives to discover the rich history of sailing at Marquette.

“Marquette Sailing is more than a club, it’s a family.” - Jenna Kozal ‘24

As a celebration of 70 years of Marquette Sailing, we are interviewing alumni, collecting photos and articles, and sharing our heritage with the greater Marquette and Milwaukee communities. If you would like to participate in this collective project, please contact musailing@gmail.com.
